Southern Fried Gamer’s Game Review Guide

We here at SFG base our game reviews on a number of things, such as story, graphics, gameplay and the unsung hero, audio.

In the story dept., we look at plot lines and elements, character development and the interaction with the game’s world.  The game in question doesn’t have to be a great literary feat;  but,  it must be coherent.

With the now-gen home console platforms tooting HD graphics, HD graphics is what we here at SFG expect.  If the game has superb graphics  we will tell you;  but,  at the same time if the game graphics are a pile of crap, well, we will tell you that too.

Have you ever had a game that has everything going for it but the gameplay?  Yep, us too.  If there are problems with the gameplay mechanics, the consumer needs to know it. So, we here at SFG will not let our readers pick up a broken game again.  That is if you follow our reviews.

“What’s the point of having a flash without a bang?” was one of the questions we asked ourselves here at SFG.  With the evolution of the music genre and home theatre systems more and more common, the games audio has finally been brought to the forefront of gaming.  We will review the audio based on how deep the sound helps carry the game’s environment.

We will not be unfairly harsh or critical of a game;  but,  we also will not heap praises onto an undeserving game.
