The rumor mill is running rampant today.  Some of the rumors will pay off, others will fall into the “not going to happen in a million years” categories.

The latest rumor to make the rounds is Left 4 Dead compilation coming to the PS3.   While this may seem as no brainer, it may still be a long shot.  At this years E3, Valve’s big wig Gabe Newell shocked the gaming world by taking the stage at the Sony press conference and with hat in hand declared that the PS3 was the console of choice for its “open” structure.   In other words, the PS3 install base was finally big enough for Valve to take notice.

With Valve already at the front of the line on gaming for the Apple iMacs and being the de facto home for PC gamers, it should come as no surprise that Valve wants to have as many of their titles in the hands of as many gamers as possible.  When the question was asked of Valve’s Doug Lombardi on the chance that Valve will make the L4D series on the PS3 his answer was “Who knows what the future will bring,”

So take that as you will.  I think that it is just a matter of time before PS3 gamers will be able to take hordes of the Undead.
