As seen on Destructoid, the UK has effectively banned the advertisement, sale, and import of Emulator Cards.

In an effort to deter Pirates from stealing their games, Nintendo went to bat for the gaming industry by lobbying against the cards.  Here is what the big N had to say about this.  “Nintendo promotes and fosters game development and creativity, and strongly supports the game developers who legitimately create new and innovative applications,” states Nintendo. “Nintendo initiates these actions not only on its own behalf, but also on behalf of over 1,400 video game-development companies that depend on legitimate sales of games for their survival.”

I say Good Job guys.  Anyone who is willing to steal a video game by downloading a pirated copy is someone who is willing to tie their own mother to a Railroad track and giggle with glee as the mighty locomotive engine comes into sight.  Dirty Pirates!
