The Farmhands went up to the ‘Nooga this weekend for the annual Con Nooga. Being held at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, this event was much more fun than any of us at the Farm could imagine. It would probably be wise to mention here that this my first convention ever. I had no idea what to expect as Con Nooga brands itself being by the Fans, for the Fans. While it was a little small in the Video Game category, it more than made up for itself with the SciFi, Anime, and Board Games.
Wil ”ShedMaster” Green and I left the Farm with a “plan”. The “plan” was to see as much as we could, to divide and conquer Con Nooga. The “plan” got derailed. With so many events going on at the same time, we Farmhands quickly realized that there was no way on God’s green Earth that we were going to be really effective.
All is not lost! The Farmhands had a moment of clarity after getting to our rooms and hashing it out. Feeling a renewed sense of focus and a growing appetite, I hit the floor.
The first place we Farmhands hit was the console gaming display sponsored by GameStop. Taking place inside one of the historic Choo Choo Cars, the Farmhands got to play and watch fellow gamers play some of the hottest new releases. Why, I even picked up a Wii Mote for
the first time in several months trying my hand at the Wii title, “Just Dance”. Will got hands on with Tekken for the PS3, keep a look out for what our ShedMaster had to think about that.
Leaving the train car behind us, we headed over to Building One of the Choo Choo complex. I sat in on a very spirited debate between fans of Star Wars and Star Trek. While both sides were giving it their all, I felt that the Federation one upped the Stormtroopers. The power of the Darkside is very powerful though, as Star Wars was able to pull out the victory by
