At this years Game Developers Conference, Sony showed off some of what the PlayStation Move is capable of doing. Take a look at this video of the Move in action.
What SFG learned from this video was that the PS Move is more capable than we first imagined. The way the Move is able to record and track is nothing short of remarkable. What this video shows is that Sony is more than a little serious about bringing motion control to the Core Gamer than Nintendo ever thought it could with their Wii console.
Did you notice just how many things the demonstrators had going on at one time? I think I saw about four web browser windows and a live feed window being tracked by the PS Eye and the motion controller.
Also of note, in this video, is they way the Sony motion controllers work with each other so well. When opening a new window with the controllers, the demonstrators on stage were able to distort the window in many crazy shapes and sizes.
Another thing that well is worth mentioning is the systems ability to track inside a 3D environment. Seeing the system respond this way definitely changed my mind about what we can expect to see in the future of motion control. What do you guys think? Are you impressed by the move?
