Is Mass Effect coming to the PS3? Rumors have been running rampant, as rumors do. However this one may have some tiny bit of truth.
The speculation all started when Electronic Arts bought developer Bioware, the makers of the hit franchise. We here at SFG don’t think that it would be too hard of a stretch to say that EA would want to have their shiny new toy in as many gamers’ hands as possible. After all Ea is a For-Profit corporation.
Then the non-denials started. For many months EA and Bioware were on, what seemed to be, a no comment stance on a rumored port of the first game in development for the PS3. It would be one thing if both parties denied existence of rumored port, but they didn’t.
Now that Mass Effect 2 has hit PC’s and Xbox 360 consoles all over the place, many PS3 owners may feel left out. We here at SFG say “Chin up, gamer. Its only a matter of time….maybe” Why do you say that, you might or might not reply. Well the answer to that is a piece of code that was discovered in the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

I was looking into this a week or so back and found several reports of this being included due to the Unreal Engine. Supposedly, this can so be found in ME 1 for PC. Though, my local Sony Rep swears this is coming, but she talks a mean game.
