Movie tie-in done right. SFG’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World review

Since the dawn of man, there has been wars and fights between them, and usually over a woman. The cave men would kidnap women from other clans, to make sure their clan survived. Helen of Troy’s beauty was so grand she caused the Trojan War. Eric Clapton battled with Rock and Roll. Belting out “Layla,” while wooing George Harrison’s wife away. Yoko Ono is often blamed for the demise of the Beatles. Of course nowadays we have Billy Bob and Cooter down at the local dive bar, fighting over the one girl who has most of her teeth. Thanks Pabst. It seems, women are the only thing that makes us as crazy as our console loyalty. Enter Scott Pilgrim into the fray.

Where did my Sunday go? SFG’s Archibald’s Adventure Review

It is rare that I get the house to myself for a weekend, but when I do, I usually engage of long sessions of gaming. I spent this Saturday, logging a bunch of hours on Resistance 2 on-line co-op, so when i woke up Sunday I was ready for a change. I decided to check out the PSP mini Archibald’s Adventure. When it finished installing, I thought I would give it a quick try before breakfast. Next thing I know, it was dinner time.

Conductor, can’t you move your ass any faster! The Great Kat’s Wagner’s War review

thegreatkat

When I hear the words Juilliard trained. I think symphony orchestras, and people in tutus dancing on their tip toes to Swan Lake. I don’t think of someone shredding on a guitar faster than your heart would beat as if you ate a couple pounds of espresso beans, but that is what you get with Katherine Thomas. She is a violin virtuoso, and Juilliard graduate. On stage she is The Great Kat, one of the fastest, face melting guitarists of all time.

CCR Rock Band DLC overview

I normally wouldn’t take the time to go over a DLC purchase, but I think this warrants it. I was ecstatic last month when my favorite wallet suck, Rock Band, announced a whopping 12 pack of Creedence Clearwater Revival songs. The best part is, they are all master recordings. Real studio recordings, not live, or as made famous by. The announcement was bittersweet though. I couldn’t wait to listen to the sound quality of the tracks, which usually sky rockets when Harmonix applies their magical touch, but I had to wait to purchase because I was in the middle of a HD swap on my PS3. I figured I would purchase them when I had re-download my 600 other RB songs for the 5th time. Anyone want to take a guess how long 37 gigs takes to download? Times that by five, now that is gamer loyalty. I got the HD swapped and I couldn’t wait to lay my money down.

Ever since the first time I played Castlevania way back on the original Nintendo Entertainment System, I have been hooked on the Undead. Does Castlevania: Harmony of Despair have what it takes to be the next Symphony of the Night? Or is it just another wannabe that doesn’t drive the stake home? Read on to find out in SFG’s Review of Castlevania: Harmony of Despair.

This summer, Frima Studio has been busy. They have already brought us two very good titles in the PlayStation Minis category.
